The scripture for today is 1 Corinthians 12:27

1 Corinthians 12:27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.

Just as the members of the human body compose one body, having a common head, so it is with the church. Christ is the head of the church and all of its members are subject to His direction.

There can be no natural body without many different members functioning together, and no spiritual body could exist without the presence of many different spiritual offices and gifts. The members that we consider the weakest or most unnoticeable are just as important to the functioning of the body as any other member. God placed us where we are for a purpose. He alone determines where we should be and what our function is. It is through His wisdom that the body is constructed and sustained. We are blessed to be a part of His body in any capacity at all. What a wonderful privilege; we are satisfied with God’s decision and we commit ourselves to be faithful in our responsibilities.

The body is one contiguous whole; it is not divided. All of the members care for and support each other. The members find their fulfillment in providing their part for the sustaining of the body under the direction of the head. We value one another, for each of us has the same purpose, to follow the direction of the Head, being faithful in what He has assigned us to do. Whether our assignment is large or small, let us be faithful.

God bless you as you continue in His service.
