The scripture for today is 1 Corinthians 12:6-7

1 Corinthians 12:6-7 And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:

The manifestation of the Holy Spirit and His gifts are given to benefit the church. God expresses Himself as He chooses through whom He chooses. When we consider God’s creation, we see the expression of infinite intelligence and creative power. All of creation proclaims the indescribable wisdom, knowledge, and power of God. All of the natural systems including plants, animals, insects, wind, rain, etc. work together creating a greater expression of interdependent life. The solar system, the milky way and the millions of other galaxies all work together, providing that which the Creator designed each one to contribute to His creation. Far beyond what the eye or the most sophisticated instruments can see, everything is connected by the will and power of God.

Our bodies are made up of many different organs, connecting tissue and systems that must work in harmony in order for us to be healthy and remain alive. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. King David wrote in the Psalms, “I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.” Psalms 139:14 The awesomeness of the Creator and His creation is inexpressible.

As the body of Christ, we are, through the Holy Spirit, connected to one another and each one supplies, for the benefit of all, that which God has given by His Holy Spirit. God gives His church a connectedness much like the connectedness that our natural bodies have. His Holy Spirit bestows gifts to the members of His body for the benefit of the entire body. God, the gift giver, exercises His wisdom in bestowing upon the body that which is needed to maintain a spiritually vibrant and healthy organism. It is through faith that we receive that which is offered to us spiritually. May we all desire the best gifts and may we be faithful in serving the body with that which God has blessed us with.

God bless you as you continue in His service.
