Happy Wednesday Everyone,

The scripture for today is 2 Corinthians 5:21

2 Corinthians 5:21 For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

Sometimes we think of righteousness as an entity in itself, but, like all other spiritual attributes, i.e., wisdom, knowledge, peace, love, patience and each piece of the "whole armor of God," it is not a thing in and of itself; it is an attribute that is embodied in a person. That person is Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the sum of all spiritual things. Our pursuit of the things of God must in reality be the pursuit of the Son of God. The desire of our heart is not just to have what He gives, but to have His very person living within us. Apart from the gift giver, the gift has no value.

"The truth is that righteousness does not exist apart from Jesus. Jesus gives us Himself, and righteousness comes with Him. When Christ becomes our righteousness, that makes us righteous only as long as we are in Christ and with Christ." Morris Venden Thank God for His priceless gift.
