Acts 2:17
The scripture for today is Acts 2:17
Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
God promised to pour out His Holy Spirit upon all people. The Holy Spirit is given without distinction of sex, age or rank. It is the manifestation of the presence and power of God in all who are His. This outpouring is accompanied by the powerful spiritual signs of prophetic revelation, visions and dreams. These promises are to be fulfilled in the "last days." It is a sign that the Messiah has indeed come and that the work of redemption through His sacrifice has been done. We are living in that time now for indeed Christ has come and finished His work of offering the perfect sacrifice for our redemption. The Holy Spirit has been poured out and He is offered to everyone who will come to God with surrendered hearts and receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
We need the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Without His power in these last days it will not be possible for the church to stand through the onslaught against the people of God that is already upon us and will increase. With the Holy Spirit's power, we will not only be able to stand, but empowered to preach the message of deliverance to those who remain in darkness. God is willing to impart His Holy Spirit to us. We must be willing to come to Him with surrendered hearts and ask. He knows those who are His, those who love Him with all of their hearts. He will never turn His children away nor deny them what they need
"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him?" Luke 11:13 We are in the last days, we need the Holy Spirit as never before. Let us come to God daily and make our request know to Him. He will give us what we need the most, His Holy Spirit; leading, guiding, and empowering us to stand as "more than conquerors" in these last and evil days.
God bless you as you continue in His service.
