Isaiah 41_13
October 9
Happy Tuesday Everyone,
The scripture for today is Isaiah 41:13
Isaiah 41:13 For I the LORD your God will hold your right hand, saying unto you, Fear not; I will help you.
Fear is an effective tool of the enemy used to virtually incapacitate the one possessed by it. There is good reason to fear if we consider this world our home and things in it are our pursuit. The world offers no safe place of refuge and the things in it that are relied upon for safety and security are as unstable as shifting sand. One only has to take a look at the strife, chaos and confusion that is gripping the nations of the world today to realize that the systems of men have no answers to the problems stemming from a foundation of sin. In the midst of this confusion, uncertainty and fear, God gives His children the most wonderful promises. Our text today is one of those precious promises.
Nothing could be more comforting than to know that the Creator of all things tells us personally that He will hold our hand. When our hand is in His hand what is there to be concerned, anxious or fearful about? As we hold onto Him, He holds onto us and we will always be going where He leads. He is always with us and, if He is with us, nothing and no one can do anything to us apart from His will. In this position of connection to God through personal fellowship (hand holding), He tells us specifically not to fear because the entrance of fear is the denial of His presence. To succumb to fear simply says that I have ceased to hold onto God. No one with their hand in God's hand, surrendered to Him and His care, can be simultaneously possessed by fear. No matter what we confront God's word to us is, "Fear not; I will help you." Do we believe that? If we do we will never fear; never.
God bless you as you continue in His service.
