Isaiah 43:11
The scripture for today is Isaiah 43:11
Isaiah 43:11 I, even I, am the LORD, and besides Me there is no savior.
God emphatically states His position relative to all the gods of men. He alone is the Creator and we have no hope for salvation in any other. If there can be any other to challenge God’s position, they must do so through exercising the same power that Jehovah displayed; there must be the power to create from nothing and the power to redeem those who are lost. Only God has such power and the enemy, Satan, is nothing more than a usurper; he can pretend to be like God, but he has nothing eternal to offer the world except death. While God offers salvation and eternal life, the enemy can only offer death, eternal death.
When these words were spoken to Israel, God had already demonstrated His love for them and His power to deliver them from bondage. "Yet I am the LORD your God ever since the land of Egypt, And you shall know no God but Me; For there is no savior besides Me.” Hosea 13:4 He was not telling them something that they had not yet experienced; He was refreshing their memory. It is as if God was saying to them, “Look, remember who saved and delivered you, I am your Savior.”
God demonstrated the same love and salvation to the entire world. He, in Christ, came and brought salvation to all who would receive Him. “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12
Yes, God is still LORD today and He is the Savior of the world. We must deliver this message from Him to all who are in bondage.
God bless you as you continue in His service.
