Happy Friday Everyone,

The scripture for today is Jeremiah 1:8-9

Jeremiah 1:8-9 Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with you to deliver you, says the LORD. Then the LORD put forth His hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in your mouth.

Intimidation is a tool that is often used by Satan to hinder the servants of God from delivering the message that God has given them. That message is communicated through behavior and words that are often spoken in the face of opposition. Whatever the case, the enemy often tries to intimidate the child of God so that the message cannot be given. God spoke to Jeremiah in our text today and told him to "not be afraid of their faces for I am with you to deliver you." This is a promise of God to all of His children. Do not be afraid of those who would attempt to intimidate you for God is the One who is with you. We accept fear through intimidation when we take our eyes off of the Lord and abandon our faith in Him. We need not care what their faces look like when we have our eyes focused on our Savior! Satan is a liar, a deceiver and a peddler of fear. God imparts to us His perfect love, and because of His presence we never need to fear; Never!

The Lord touched the mouth of the prophet and told him "I have put my words in your mouth." These are comforting words to all who would be a witness for Him. We are not all called to be prophets, but we are all called to be witnesses. The truth that we bear witness to is not our truth; it is the truth of God. Wherever He sends us we can go without being concerned about the responses of people; we are God's children and by His grace we will not be intimidated by the devices of men. God has put His love in our hearts and His words in our mouths. He will fulfill His word to the world as we are faithful to look to Him alone and speak the truth in love.

God bless you as you continue in His service.
