The scripture for today is Jeremiah 33:8

Jeremiah 33:8 And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, by which they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, by which they have sinned, and by which they have transgressed against me.

The love of God for His people is manifested in His willingness to forgive and pardon their grievous transgressions and sin. There is no one who loves as God loves. His love for His people is beyond description and defies anything that we as humans can understand; it is supernatural love and He has it for each one of us.

Israel and Judah committed some of the most horrible sins imaginable against God who had provided for them and protected them from enemies all around. They scoffed at God and turned to the idols of those enemies who hated God. They rejected God and embraced Satan, just as Adam and Eve did in the garden, and just as so many of God’s people do today in so many ways through their unloving decisions. Those decisions relegate God to the realm of "undesirable" and exalt the world as the standard of living. In the expression of their lives, they are doing the same thing as God’s people have done many times before. But God is a loving Father and no matter how far we stray, His eyes are upon us continually. What did He do for backsliding Israel and Judah?  “And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.” Jeremiah 33:7

The world has nothing to offer us, but God offers us His unconditional love and acceptance. No matter how distant we are or feel, He is watching over us, waiting for us to return to Him with all of our hearts. He will not reject us; He loves us more than we can imagine and more than we can comprehend. Let us come to Him and accept His love and remain in His loving embrace.

God bless you as you continue in His service.
