Matthew 21_22
November 9
Happy Friday Everyone,
The scripture for today is Matthew 21:22
Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.
The closer we get to the heart of God, the more His desires for us become our desires also. Those who come to Him with surrendered hearts will find His heart open to them. Out of this intimate connection and fellowship with the Living God flows trust in Him and His promises. Our prayers to Him become not just empty words, but words of faith and trust. As we pray in the will of God and with the heart of God, we know that He hears and answers, always. We must not be discouraged when our prayers are not answered in the manner we planned. God's plan is always better than our own. We ask and we trust; He hears and He answers.
"Not because we see or feel that God hears us are we to believe. We are to trust in His promises. When we come to Him in faith every petition enters the heart of God. When we have asked for His blessing, we should believe that we receive it, and thank Him that we have received it. Then we are to go about our duties, assured that the blessing will be realized when we need it most. When we have learned to do this, we shall know that our prayers are answered. God will do for us "exceeding abundantly, according to the riches of His glory,"and "the working of His mighty power," Eph. 3:20, 16; 1:19. Ellen White, The Desire of Ages p. 200
God bless you as you continue in His service.
