The scripture for today is Matthew 24:30

Matthew 24:30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Jesus, in His prophecy of end-time events, culminates His discourse with the most glorious event that will ever be witnessed by mankind on this earth, the coming of Jesus on the clouds of heaven. For the redeemed, this is what they have been waiting for, the return of Jesus and the end of their trials and suffering. But, for the wicked, this will be a day of reckoning and all of the people of the earth will mourn. This is a glorious occasion, but not for them. They had the opportunity to accept deliverance from the snares of sin, but they chose to reject Christ and live their lives for their own pleasure. They refused to call sin by its name and made excuses for their rebellion and disobedience. Now, face to face with the King of Kings there is no joy in their hearts; they mourn. They will realize at that moment that they traded a few short trouble-filled years on this earth, living as they pleased, for an eternity of joy with the Savior who loved them enough to give His life for them. They rejected the truth and spurned God’s love. Now "Truth" comes again, but this time He comes to claim those who have received His sacrifice, those who love Him with all of their hearts.

There will only be two groups of people living on the earth when Jesus comes again. Those who are lost and those who are saved. The lost, unfortunately, will be in the majority. They will, up to that moment, think that they are right. The faithful, although a remnant, will maintain their faith in God until the end. Ultimately, Jesus comes; He comes for them. His heart is filled with love for them; He knows that He will be with them forever. Rejoice you pure in heart, it won’t be long.

God bless you as you continue in His service.
