January 4

Happy Friday Everyone,

The scripture for today is Philippians 4:13

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.

When we look at this scripture in context, we get a deeper appreciation of its meaning and importance to us. The apostle Paul is not just talking about confronting a problem. He is talking about an attitude of life; an attitude that is based on years of experience in living through lack, suffering, pain and heartache, as well as abundance. His relationship with Christ was so strong that it simply did not matter to him what his natural environment produced. Whether he was destitute or had abundance, it did not alter his position in Christ. In both circumstances, he was content. He was content because he was not a self-reliant man, he was a Christ dependent man. He knew that Jesus was the same Christ when he had much as He was when he had nothing. Neither abundance nor lack altered his relationship with the Lord. Through the years of good times and bad, of enduring trials and overcoming them by God's grace, he came to the conclusion that he stated in our text for today: "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me."  "He was enabled to do all by the power of an indwelling Christ." Adam Clarke  The same indwelling Christ will live in us today enabling us to do all things through Him.

God bless you as you continue in His service.
