The scripture for today is Proverbs 25:26

Proverbs 25:26 A righteous man falling down before the wicked is as a muddied fountain, and a polluted spring. 

There are few things sadder to witness than those who profess the righteousness of God bowing down to satanic demands. They bring dishonor to the cause of Christ and give occasion for those who oppose Him to revel in their delusions. Those who profess to have the life of Christ should follow in His steps. He did not compromise in the face of opposition. He did not falter when all seemed to be against Him. He knew who His heavenly Father was; He was one with God yet fully human. And through the relationship between God and humanity, He showed us how to live. He provided a clear path to follow, demonstrating that we could overcome adversity because He overcame. With Christ living in our hearts, there is nothing that should cause us to fall. What Jesus did we, through Him, can do; not by our own strength or wisdom but through His. The world needs to see the manifestation of God's power through His people. They cannot see it if we are fallen, compromised and polluted.

"The righteous man should be a spring of water welling up to eternal life; but when he fails to stand up for right and truth before unbelievers and opponents, he becomes a spring trampled by defiling feet until the water is muddied and spoiled. None will be attracted to drink from such a fountain, and they would find little refreshment from it if they were. With the promise of God's presence for support at all times, it is a disgrace for a believer to lower his colors through moral cowardice." SDA Bible Commentary  We, God's people, chose to serve Him and Him alone.
