Proverbs 7:2
The scripture for today is Proverbs 7:2
Proverbs 7:2 Keep my commandments and live, and my law as the apple of your eye.
There is nothing so dear to us as the word of God. Although mankind, for the most part, has rejected God and His word, those who are faithful to Him cling to His law as an expression of their love for their Creator and Redeemer. “Men may raise up all the combativeness they please, but the commandments of God are the commandments of God still. We have decided to keep God’s commandments and live, and [preserve] His law as the apple of our eye. Let men rail out against the law of God and trample His commandment-keeping people under their feet. Can they do it and live? It is impossible. God has His measurement of character, and it is those who obey Him that live, and those who keep His law as the apple of their eye that He preserves.” Ellen G. White, Evangelism, p. 244
God extends His love to all mankind. His arms are stretched out still, calling all who will receive Him to come. He offers life and life more abundantly to those who choose to follow His word, keeping His commandments and the faith of Jesus (Revelation 14:12). He says to us in His word, "keep my commandments and live." Those who choose life will say yes to these instructions. Those who love Him will obey Him.
God bless you as you continue in His service.
