The scripture for today is Psalms 5:11

Psalms 5:11 But let all those that put their trust in you rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because you defend them: let them also that love your name be joyful in you.

"Those who have chosen God as their portion, and who put their trust in Him, have cause for habitual and ever-increasing joy." Family Bible Notes Think of it; God, who made all of the things we see, desires to have a love relationship with each one of us. He invites us to come to Him and live in His presence continually. In His presence, we know that nothing can assail us that He is not aware of and that anything that He allows into our lives should only serve to cause us to cling to Him more. We have no need to plan our defenses because He is our defense. He invites us to hide ourselves in Him and let Him be the source of our protection. When we are in Him our lives belong to Him. We do not have to defend our actions because they are His actions; we do not have to defend our words because they are His words; we do not have to defend our position because our position is where He places us. We are not concerned about wealth, fortune or fame; the world seeks these things and they all pass away to the benefit of no one. Our heart's desire is to remain in His presence where there is "fullness of joy." Psalms 16:11

Yes, the people of God have good reason to rejoice. One day soon Jesus will return for those who have put their trust in Him. That day will be a day of unspeakable gladness for the redeemed and a day of reckoning for those who have rejected Him and chosen to live a life of self-determination fueled by the lust of the flesh. In Christ we have put our trust. That trust brings us gladness today and will bring us unspeakable joy when He comes to take us home. Presently, we find our life in Him and for all eternity we will rejoice in Him. He is our life now and He will be our life forever. The joy that we have today is but a token of the joy we will experience for all eternity.

God bless you as you continue in His service.
