The scripture for today is Revelation 19:7

Revelation 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.

The bride of Christ is His church; His people who have received His atonement and new birth. These are those who have forsaken all to be joined to Him. They have denied themselves, taken up their cross, and followed Christ wherever He leads. They have given up their old lives and their identity is in Christ alone. He has become their leader and guide; all other alliances have been forsaken; they are one with Christ. They no longer live in the unrighteous dissipation of sinful indulgences. Their minds have been renewed by the Word and Spirit of God. They are clothed in the righteousness of Christ and through His enabling they live holy lives and righteous deeds are worked through them. “And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.” Revelation 19:8 The bride of Christ is preparing for that great day when the sound of the herald will proclaim, “Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!” Matthew 25:6

“In both the Old and the New Testament, the marriage relation is employed to represent the tender and sacred union that exists between Christ and His people. To the mind of Jesus the gladness of the wedding festivities pointed forward to the rejoicing of that day when He shall bring home His bride to the Father’s house, and the redeemed with the Redeemer shall sit down to the marriage supper of the Lamb." Ellen G. White, The Desire of Ages, p. 151 May we continue in His grace and live our lives in expectancy of that great and glorious day.

God bless you as you continue in His service.
