Romans 8:31
"What shall we then say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?"
The provisions of God for us are so incredible they are difficult to describe or fully understand. We accept His provisions through faith in His promises. Through the indwelling Holy Spirit, God has put Himself inside of us and has predetermined that we will be joint heirs with Christ and glorified with Him, a promise almost too incredible to fathom.
"The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, so that we may be also glorified together." Romans 8:16-17
The Holy Spirit, the very presence of God inside of us, intercedes on our behalf. Even when we don't know how or what to pray, He steps in and takes up our cause as we cry out to God. "Likewise the Spirit also helps our weakness: for
we know not what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And He that searches the hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God." Romans 8:26-27
He does all of this on our behalf. Because of the promised intercession of the Spirit, we can be confident in God
despite our weaknesses. He has chosen us and has already determined that those who are His will be formed into the very image of His Son, Jesus Christ. "For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He did predestinate, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified." Romans 8:29-30
We are children of God; our love is from Him and to Him. And because of His great love for us, we are free from fear. "The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?" Psalms 118:6
